FOUNDER, THE BODY IS WISE

I am a Body-Oriented Trauma Specialist. As a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and a movement specialist with a background in yoga for mental health, I offer one on one sessions for people looking to create an embodied relationship with their core self.

Together, we create resources for your being, gently address places of deep body bracing, soften gripped habits and reconnect to your vitality.
I have practiced yoga for over 20 years and, for the past decade, I have taught in studios throughout Washington DC, Denver, CO and now Helena, MT.

In DC, I ran my own non-profit providing yoga and wellness services to under-resourced populations, have a Masters in Community Development, and have recently completed my schooling to be Somatic Experiencing Practitioner. I have been working with private clients in partnership with local therapists for the last seven years providing somatic support.

I have completed a number of advanced trainings in healing modalities including LifeForce Yoga. Street Yoga, Yin Yoga, Thai Yoga Therapy, Reiki I and II, Restorative Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Movement for Trauma, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and am currently working on my BASE certification for touchwork.

I continue to pursue tools for optimal nervous system health, body well-being, and the metabolizing of bound energy from unprocessed trauma.

In the summer of 2016, I co-founded Free Range Yoga Project taking yoga outside in the beautiful summers of Montana.

Before the pandemic, I co-owned a local yoga studio where I taught weekly Embodied Yoga Flow classes Flow Yoga classes, lead a variety of yoga offerings focused on using these tools while moving through Anxiety, Depression, Trauma and Insomnia along with annual offerings including New Year, New Intention, Goddess Yoga and Winter Solstice workshops.

As many of us are doing, the pandemic has shifted my work. I now primarily see private clients but do offer classes, workshops and series here and there.
